Yesterday was a fruitfull day for me....... I have started an hebrew food blog and invented a new dough....LOL

In search for my regular filling cakes dough ingredients (butter, 1 small pck self rising flour and sour cream) I couldnt find any sour cream........ ha?? I went nuts. What shall I to do, I had this urge in my bones to make a cake....... Pecked again into my big fridge I found 0% fat yugurt??? to  which I decieded to use......... max, I will through it away.......

To cut a long story short the dough came out great and here's a fantastic poppyseeds cake for you.(oh, and so easy)

You take 200 gr' melted butter, 1 small pck (2.5 cups approx.) self rising flour and 1yugurt 0% fat.

Using dough blender (on this subject in next post) mix the above and insert into fridge to be cooled.

Meanwhile prepare the filling. Here's the place to tell you that any filling should do it, since its fantastic dough to work with and after baking you can cut it to cookies. Use jam, nuts, coconut, chocolate spread, date spread, any mix of the above and anything that come to your imagination. I have used the date spread too......ohmmm... yammi)

Put in a small pot 200 gr' poppyseeds, 3/4 cup milk, 50 gr' butter, 2 peeled and grated (coarse) green apples, 3/4 cup dark brown sugar  (or white) , 1.5 tabs regular flour and cook until smooth.Taste for sweetness, add more sugar if needed.

Of course you can add raisins if you like it . I don't.

Take out dough and roll , doesnt have to be thin or nice trimming (as you can see in the pic) and spread filling on dough. Roll and insert into a pre-heated oven, 180*C / 360*F.

The results? ..........  By evening , no cake left. Did I mentioned I live with locust /  vacuum cleaner  (delete the unnecessary )    ?
